CET Publishes Its Annual Report 2024–2025

CET is pleased to launch its Annual Report 2024–2025, marking a year of progress as we advance the second phase of our three-year corporate plan. Over the past year, we have strengthened partnerships across education and employment, piloted new initiatives, and continued to build a shared understanding of Commercial Ability that helps young people thrive in the workplace.

A Year of Impact in Numbers

The report highlights a year of strategic investment and practical delivery across the sector. In 2024–25, CET:

  • Distributed £136,214 in grant funding
  • Raised £40,000 in new income
  • Awarded 3 standard grants to organisations shaping sector practice
  • Provided 7 small grants supporting innovative, localised programmes
  • Hosted 2 roundtables exploring Commercial Ability
  • Produced a professionally filmed video on youth voice and workplace readiness
  • Supported 1 Youth Fellow researching organisational know-how

These achievements reflect our commitment to investing in work that improves young people’s pathways into meaningful, sustainable employment.

Throughout the year, CET also played a key convening role. Our roundtables in March and June 2025 brought together employers, educators and sector leaders to explore workplace behaviours, organisational know-how and barriers to inclusion. The resulting insights are helping shape more coherent and collaborative approaches across the sector.

We continued to strengthen our evaluation and learning practice, expanded our digital communications, and celebrated leadership through the David Coughtrie Awards. Youth Fellow Hannah Yusuf contributed important research highlighting gaps in organisational know-how among young people.

The full Annual Report offers a concise and comprehensive look at CET’s progress and priorities for the year ahead.
